Appliance Repairs

Electric Dryers, Washers

Electric dryer and washer repairs are another of those items that are specialties of mine to repair.

Electric Dryers

When dryers fail, there is generally something that caused the failure other than the failing part.  I will not only fix the problem with your dryer, I will also determine what caused the dryer to fail and address that issue so you don’t have to call me back in a few months.  Once diagnosed I will go over with you what failed and why and then provide you with a cost to repair the dryer. You may choose to proceed or decide that the repair is too expensive and opt for a new dryer.

I will check your airflow coming out of your vent to advise you if your vent needs cleaning.  Blocked air flow is the main cause for heating failures and long dry cycles.  It can also cause dryer fires though there are many safety features that should prevent any fires in your dryer.

Washers

If your washer is failing, I will follow the same process as described about for dryers. The problem will be diagnosed, and you will be presented with a cost for repair and again you will have the option to accept the repair cost or walk away.

Preventative Maintenance

Before leaving, I will provide you with general consulting on how to take care of your appliance so that they will last you longer and work better.

Depending on your model I may even show you some tricks such as how to read your error codes or how to place your washer in diagnostic mode.  Giving you warning signs that your dryer is having difficulties and maybe tell a joke or story just to lighten the mood!

Other Appliances

I do work on other appliances, but most have repair costs that do not present themselves for repair due to cost.  You can call me and I will discuss if the problem is repairable at a reasonable cost or if it is time for a new one.   I do restore glass cooktop stoves and scratched stainless steel appliances.
